Partner Interview: Lidor

Our partners are part of the Numero 74 family. Without them, nothing would be possible. We are grateful to be working with people who support us and share the same values as us, such as the preservation of unique handmade processes, sustainable development and fair working conditions.
Today we are introducing Margriet, the founder of Lidor, an online shop based in The Netherlands, who tells us more about how the adventure began!

What is the story and the spirit behind your concept?
It all started when I was pregnant of my first child Vesper and I needed to prepare her nursery. I saw on the internet a nice picture with a rattan bed which I’d love to have for her room, but in The Netherlands those kinds of beds weren’t available. I had to buy it in France and immediately bought a few more to resell, because I thought there must be a lot more parents-to-be who would love to have such a bed. So the idea was born to have a shop with nice rattan and vintage beds.

Numero 74 Blog Lidor Interview

Do you know the name Lidor comes from the “Lit d’or” (golden bed in French) and we decide it to write it the way you pronounce it in Dutch!
Soon we extended with bedding and decoration for kids rooms with special and beautiful brands which we really love and who share the same passion for beauty, design and sustainability as we do. We love to discover new things and to share those treasures with you. We hope these give you the same joy as they do to us.

Do you have any online kids’ activity recommendations?
